Cafe Leadman is an intimate neighbourhood cafe in Perth. We’ve chosen to focus on making good coffee and seasonal menu items with service on a personal level - all at an affordable price. Cafe Leadman is owned and operate by Youth With A Mission Perth.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the cafe and its employees.

Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all guests

Developing and implementing operational procedures

Prepare and manage staff rosters, ensuring adequate coverage during all open hours

Planning and executing menus with seasonal and event specials

Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget 

Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions 

Ensuring facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance 

Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service

Handling customer inquiries, complaints and feedback

Selecting, training and supervising staff

Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders

Foster and nurture friendly relationships with customers and local community

Experience/Skills:

Diploma of Hospitality Management

Barista certification or ability to demonstrate the skills required

Thorough knowledge of food safety, food quality and presentation

Commitment to excellent customer service

2-4 years of work experience as a cafe manager

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, friendliness, approachability

Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment not required but preferable, as role requires oversight and assessment of students
