The Role

We are seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to lead our new cafe team at our Vasse store! You'll have a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience through your cafe management skills.  Reporting to the Front of House Manager and working closely with our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the Cafe runs smoothly and exceeds guest's expectations. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day fast-paced operations, including staff rostering, on-going training and performance management
  • Maintain and improve service standards, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffees and beverages as a skilled barista
  • Lead, motivate and mentor a team to deliver excellent guest experiences
  • Manage stock, orders and inventory levels in co-ordination with the grocery and fresh produce teams
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and OH&S regulations
  • Deliver financial results through managing costs effectively
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to create a cohesive and inviting experience
  • Actively contribute to initiatives to maintain stock levels and grow sales

Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven minimum 5 year's experience managing a cafe, restaurant or food service operation
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and build an enthusiastic team
  • Passionate about fresh, high-quality food and outstanding guest experience
  • Physical fitness for tasks involving standing, lifting and quick movement
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High attention  to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and manage a dynamic work environment
  • Strong attention to detail - particularly in stock management, quality control and hygiene standards
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required
  • A friendly, approachable personality with a team-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Approved Manager's card and RSA certification for WA
  • Proficient in relevant POS systems
