Tonic + Ginger is recruiting for experienced Chef De Partie or Sous chef to join an already successful team. 

Tonic + Ginger is an award-winning modern Asian restaurant in the heart of Fremantle, headed by renowned Head Chef Ian Macintosh & Senior Sous Chef Katherine Sung - who are keen to share knowledge and train YOU! 

  • Showcasing big & bold favours that are always balanced to perfection, T+G boasts an extensive menu with signature dishes that have become firm favourites - if you haven't tried our Firecracker Cauliflower with bang bang sauce you are missing out! 
  • Open 7 days a week - Lunch & Dinner with over 1,000 cover a week. 

Tonic & Ginger forms part of the exciting hospitality precinct, The Old Synagogue that includes: The Arbor, Mr Chapple and L'Chaim - with one kitchen to service them - this is a role to sink your teeth into! 

A bit about you:

  • Minimum 3years experience as chef in a fast paced, high-volume kitchen 
  • Experience relevant to position you are applying for! 
  • Commercial cookery certificate
  • Ability to deliver an exceptional and consistent food product
  • Ability to follow recipes & directions from senior chefs and managers
  • Ability to work autonomously 
  • Ability to learn and work multiple sections with including pans, wok, fryers, larder & grill. 
  • Able to work flexible hours across weekends & public holidays
