The role

Crown is the ultimate destination for dining experiences, with a vast array of casual offerings to more premium settings. We have something to suit everyone’s tastes.

Silks has a great opportunity for a Dim Sum Chef to join the team on a casual basis. This role will involve working in a fast-paced environment where your knowledge and experience within Cantonese cuisine will succeed. You will be part of our Yum cha preparations, where you will be able to use your creativity.  

In this role, you’ll provide joyful experiences through your genuine care for guests. As well as:

• Ability to create specialised menu items off the Yum Cha service such as Hong Kong style dumpling wrapping, steam buns is a must.
• Ability with using woks.
• Assist the Senior Chefs with the daily preparation and service of food
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards within this very fast paced kitchen. 

About you

You’ll bring the following:

• Overall knowledge with Yum Cha service 
• Wok Experience.
• Passionate about Cantonese cuisine.

To be successful, you’ll be able to:

Certificate III in Cookery.
