Do you want to be part of one the largest and most diverse Chef teams in the country?

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef with a passion for food and the ability to think outside the box to become part of the Sodexo Team in a leadership role within our Catering department supporting the Head Chef with running a remote, site-based catering operation. 

Duties

  • Coordinate and support staff in maintaining a customer-focused, secure and safe working environment in catering operations
  • Responsible for food service across breakfast, crib and dinner with a focus on providing food to the highest of standards
  • Run daily pre-start checks for the Team
  • Responsible for maintaining a strong safety culture in the kitchen
  • Supporting the Head Chef in leading and motivating the Team

Who are we looking for?

Ideally you would remain calm and focused in high pressure environments, have excellent time management skills, work well in a team and autonomously and have a passion for food. In addition to this the requirements for the role are as follows;

  • Trade Certificate, Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or full work rights
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP
  • Experience in a high-pressure, high-volume environment is desirable
  • Flexibility to work a variety of rosters and shifts
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
  • FIFO experience desirable
  • Bulk cooking experience is essential
