Cimbalino Espresso Cottesloe is currently seeking an experienced Head Chef to manage the kitchen team in our lively and busy coffee shop/café.

The ideal candidate should possess a real desire to “IMPRESS” and “INNOVATE” and not just follow the norm!

While flexibility is required, the standard work week is 38 hours over 4.5 days, with weekend availability a must.

The business operates 7 days a week for breakfast and brunch/lunch. However, there are no evening shifts and kitchen staff generally finish at 230pm.

Successful candidates need to demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in all aspects of food service including preparation, cooking, baking, providing a quality service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • A passion for food, a creative flair and the ability to adjust and amend the café menu depending on seasonal requirements
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to ensure smooth and harmonious operation in a busy café environment
  • A proven ability to manage kitchen stock/cost control and timely ordering of supplies
  • An understanding of the importance to work with all staff and the recognition that proper training of staff is paramount in ensuring quality service
