The Role
This role is a casual position working at Edward Collick Home in Kalgoorlie.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares and plates food, serves and clears away meals in line with food preparation schedules.
- Maintains the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.
- Maintains appropriate resident interactions in line with the organizational values.
- Considers resident lifestyles and personal choice.
- Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with others, utilizing appropriate
- Visit existing and new residents/families to keep food requirements up to date.
- Collect all temperature and cleaning records for the week and place in managers basket for checking and signing.
- Record any dietary changes on master print out.
- Check on stock requirements, e.g. bread, milk, OJ, yoghurt and change as necessary.
- Assist OTA staff to order supplies for all their functions and assist with room preparation.
- As required replenish shopping supplies which are specific and not currently available from usual supplier.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required.
- Demonstrated good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Passion for food preparation.
- Certificate in cooking, food preparation.
- Previous kitchen / food preparation experience within the aged care industry.
- Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- Ability to obtain NDIS Clearance
- Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
