Job Description

You are an extremely passionate Pastry Chef with a big heart, who is a fantastic leader and leads by example. You will represent our professional 5-star service philosophy and create delicious food for our Guests each and every time. You will have a proactive attitude and a desire to achieve the very best. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and energetic kitchen where every day is different. We provide a buffet service for breakfast and an a la carte service for lunch and dinner. We also cater for small & large scale conferences, events and of course weddings. You will play a very important role in our dynamic kitchen team!

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare ingredients and utilise baking equipment
  • Create pastries, baked goods and confectionary
  • Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation
  • Monitor the stock of baking ingredients
  • Ensure proper hygiene, sanitation and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Control food preparation and manage wastage
  • Bring creative ideas and contribute to our pursuit of excellence in all things pastry
  • meet and where possible exceed our guests’ dining expectations
  • assist in creating a positive work environment for all.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 5 years of prior experience which will be accompanied by your passion in culinary flair.
  • Genuine passion to grow in your career.
  • Well versed in HACCP.
  • Diligent with and adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety and other compliance requirements.
  • Ensure continuous improvement through your ability to think outside the box.
  • A great person to work with who is reliable and level headed.

We are offering a salary range $75 000 - $85,000 , discounted food / accommodation plus much more.
