Good Cartel is looking for an experienced all rounder.
Strong barista skills required.
Leadership and section management skills required.
High volume. Multi barista set up.
You will be part of a well oiled machine which involves more than just pulling shots and texturing milk.
The ideal candidate will be available to switch to a full time 12 month commitment 38 hrs per week, after a probation period as a casual employee.
We are also willing consider ongoing casual employment for candidates able to commit for 6 - 8mths.
Consistency of product and personal reliability is everything. You will be trained in Good Cartels processes and procedures and your success in the role is determined by your ability to execute them every time.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years experience: Working in a senior front of house position.
- Knowledge and Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of various coffee drinks, inventory management, and basic health and safety codes. Knowledge of grind calibration, espresso machine volumetrics, milk texturing regared highly.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring and mixing ingredients to create specific drinks. This also extends to maintaining cleanliness and ensuring equipment and surfaces are safe and hygienic.
- Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as operating the cash register and espresso machine, managing orders, and answering customer queries—all while maintaining speed and efficiency.
- Responsibility and Reliability: Being punctual, dependable, and able to follow instructions correctly is vital. Your team should be able to rely on you for consistent performance and adherence to schedules.
