MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Food Preparation
  • Cooking and Grilling
  • Plating and Presentation
  • Quality Control
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation
  • Examining food to ensure quality
  • Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
  • Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
  • Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
  • Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
  • Working within the Last Slice system
  • Any other duties deemed responsible by Head Chef
  • EXPERIENCE

  • Previous cook experience, Cert III and 2 years work experience or at least 3 years relevant experience (required)
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Drivers license
  • Hygiene and food handling certificates an advantage
