Role Overview:
As the Trainer and Assessor in Hospitality, you will be a pivotal member of our dynamic culinary faculty working alongside a team of passionate instructors and championing academic innovation.
You will be involved with our hospitality programs, including the Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma levels and ensure that they are meeting the latest industry trends and standards. Your expertise will prepare students to thrive in their hospitality careers, equipping them with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for success in this vibrant field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and assess units of competency within the Certificate III and Diploma/Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that are engaging, practical, and align with industry standards.
- Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to students to ensure their success in both theoretical and practical components of the course.
- Conduct practical assessments in simulated kitchen environments, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, assessments, and feedback.
- Participate in regular professional development to ensure currency in training practices and industry standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to curriculum development and enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
About You:
- Relevant Qualifications: You possess qualifications in Hospitality Management or a related field, complemented by a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, along with a strong background in education and assessment practices.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in the hospitality industry.
- Communication and Leadership: You have excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills, enabling you to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
- Passion for Hospitality Education: A genuine passion for hospitality education and a commitment to fostering student success is at the heart of your approach.
- Industry Insight: You have a strong understanding of industry standards and the ability to implement innovative teaching methods that engage students and enhance their learning experience.
